George Raymond Blake is an accomplished writer, having just completed The Sun Sets in The West.  He is named on a patent as part of a team of international engineers. He has been a respected lecturer, speaker and instructor in the field of telemetry, satellite and astrophysical tracking systems. 

He was born in the San Fernando Valley and his family moved to Simi Valley, California shortly thereafter. His Father, George, passed away when he was 14 years old and was a great mentor to him. He is no stranger to hard work, having to be self-reliant in all things around the house to be repaired. He has been involved in electronics since the age of 9. He wrote articles about electronics starting at 11 years old. He started as a technician at the age of 16. He has been a draftsperson, printed circuit board designer, integrated logistics engineer, project engineer, senior project engineer, program manager, senior product manager, technical manager, and a laboratory coordinator for a major Kansas university.

He is well travelled, having visited: Canada, Mexico, Virgin Islands, Taiwan, Israel, France and Romania. Most of the time he has travelled for business but occasionally personal. He has currently been to over 1,000 cities and over half of the U.S. states. He enjoys music, theatre and cultural dance.  

George has three rescue dogs: Punkin, a Plott Hound; Valkyrie, a Labrador Retriever / Boxer mix; and Buffy, a Boxer / Labrador mix.
